Kim Brabender - Hygienist
Kim is a native of Appleton and graduated from Appleton West High School. Her college experiences include 2 years at UW Eau Claire majoring in Elementary Education. She shifted directions following a summer job assisting a dentist in Appleton. The positive experiences at the dental practice influenced her decision to transfer to Marquette University where she graduated with a BS in Dental Hygiene in 1984. She keeps current with continuing education, and has been with Dr. Masak's practice since 1990.
Her passion to provide extraordinary care to patients has not wavered. Recently Kim has taken her passion to the people of Honduras as part of a dental group through Sharing Resources Worldwide.
Kim resides in Neenah with her husband Bill. They have two kids, Megan and Matthew. They have spent many summers traveling throughout the U.S. as a family and it is their goal to spend time in each state. They enjoy snow skiing/boarding and water activities. When Kim is on her own she enjoys spending time with her parents and siblings, reading, riding her bike, and volunteering at the public schools.
Shelley Gessler - Hygienist
Shelley has been with our team as a Registered Dental hygienist since 2004. She is a 1984 graduate of NWTC in Green Bay and has been practicing since then. She was raised in Sheboygan and is married to Tim, also a Sheboygan native. Tim and Shelley have raised their 4 boys; Paul, Phillip, Peter, and John, and in 2008 they added a 4 legged (daughter) Elly, a wonderful German Shepherd/Lab mix canine. Elly is still the baby! In 2004 Paul married Elise so the family is happy to have another girl amongst them. Outside of work, Shelley and family enjoy hiking, biking, and watersports in the warmer months and cross country skiing and shopping in the winter. They spend much of their down time at the cabin on Otter Lake in the UP of Michigan. Shelley has also enjoyed her numerous trips to some of the U.S. states, Europe and Mexico.
Julie Hanson - Dental Assistant
Julie graduated from the Dental Assisting program at Fox Valley Technical College in 1986, and has been a Dental Assistant for 30 years, most of it in the Fox Valley area. She has experience in Orthodontics, Prothodontics, and Oral Surgery, as well as Hospital Dentistry.
Julie is married and has a son, Owen, and two stepsons Dylan, and Cole. They live in West DePere. Singing is a passion for Julie and she is very involved as a Worship Leader and with the choir at her church. She has also been singing the National Anthem for many years at local sporting events including the Timber Rattlers and the Green Bay Gamblers. She also volunteers in the children's Awana program at church. Julie enjoys running, participates in road races, and has even completed a marathon. Julie likes to also boat, swim, fish, downhill ski, spend time with family and friends, and just relax on her patio at home.
Drae Jonas - Office Manager
Drae was new to the dental field prior to joining our team in 2013, but was quick to learn. She's your go to person for appointments, insurance, and any questions or concerns. Drae provides a positive, professional, caring environment for our patients. You will always be greeted with a smile!
Drae's truest passions are her 3 boys, Shaw, Cole, and Rhett, who keep her very active outside of work. She loves the hunt for "treasures" and is quick to pull over for an antique store, flea market, or estate sale. Most weekends are spent road tripping, often times visiting family out of town or enjoying outdoor activities; hiking, kayaking, camping, boating, snowmobiling, snow skiing, and exploring new areas.
